White tubs and bottles in single and multi-pack groupings on shelves with blank orange tags, with the headline Clearer Product Quantity Listings

New product quantity variation theme now available

We’ve launched a new variation theme for total product quantity across 193 product types, primarily in hardlines categories. We'll expand this to other categories later in 2026.

This variation theme displays the total quantity of product in a standardized format that's easy for customers to compare. It shows as "X count" for single-packs and "X count (Y packs of Z)" for multi-packs. This separates quantity from other attributes like size or color, helping customers quickly understand what they're purchasing.

When you list products using this theme, you'll provide:

  • Unit count: The total number of individual units in the package (e.g., 72 pods, 24 bottles, 100 tablets).
  • Number of packs: The number of separately packaged groups within the listing (e.g., pack of 1, pack of 3, pack of 6).

For single-item listings such as one box of 72 zip ties, set number of packs to 1 and unit count to 72.

This variation theme is optional for both new and existing listings. If you choose to use it, unit count will be required. Number of packs is required only if your product contains multiple packs.
